If you subscribe or follow a story, we store your email address, your preferences, the page you signed up from and your country (derived from your connection, not your precise location). We use it only to send you what you asked for. We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers; your browser stores your theme and followed stories locally. Forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots. Embedded videos come from YouTube and load only when you press play.

Our publishing software and social platforms

The Torch Daily uses the official APIs of YouTube, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok and LinkedIn solely to publish our own videos and posts to our own accounts and to read the performance of those posts. Through these APIs we access only our own accounts, pages and content. We do not collect, store or sell personal data about other users of those platforms, and we do not use platform data for advertising. Access tokens are stored encrypted on our own systems and are never shared.

Our use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke our access to data you control via the Google security settings page.

Data deletion

To have any data we hold about you deleted, including anything received through a platform integration, email hello@torchdaily.com with the subject "Delete my data". We confirm and complete deletion within 30 days. Every newsletter email also has a one-click unsubscribe link.

Processors and retention

The site, database and email run on Cloudflare. We keep subscriber data while you're subscribed and delete it within 30 days of unsubscribing. We never sell your information.
