Israeli military says it killed two Hamas figures, citing ceasefire violations

The first post said Mahmoud Abd al-Fattah Awad was a commander in Hamas' military wing. The IDF said Awad took part in holding seven Israelis hostage in an underground tunnel in the Gaza City area. [1]
The IDF named the hostages as Daniella Gilboa, Karina Ariev, Doron Steinbrecher, Naama Levy, Ziv Berman, Omri Miran and Eitan Mor. [1]
The IDF said Awad had recently planned and advanced attacks on Israeli civilians and IDF troops. It also said he worked to rebuild Hamas' capabilities, which it described as a systematic violation of the ceasefire. The military said he was killed to remove the threat he posed. [1]
In the second post, the IDF said Muhammad Abu Alwan was head of Hamas' Finance Department. According to the IDF, he was involved in budgeting for all of Hamas' branches and directed the transfer of more than 1 billion shekels to fund the group's activities. [2]
